The Department of Statistics, K.U  conducted the Alumni Meet-2024, under the chairmanship of Professor Tariq Rashid Jan, Head of the Department, a significant event that brought together teachers from various colleges across the valley and faculty to discuss the implementation of Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) courses under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 at undergraduate (UG) level.

The introduction of CBCS was highlighted as a means to provide students with a more personalized and comprehensive education, allowing them to choose courses that align with their interests and career goals. Alumni shared their experiences and insights on the implementation of CBCS at the undergraduate level. The discussions cantered on the challenges encountered during the initial phases, including curriculum restructuring, faculty training, and resource allocation.
