About Us
The Department of Statistics came into existence in the year 1986 as a part of the Department of Mathematics to impart Statistical education leading to M.A/M.Sc.,M.Phil and Ph.D degrees in “Statistics”. The Department was established as an independent Department in the year 2004 with the aim of providing quality education in the field of "Statistics" to develop the subject of statistics with its applications and usefulness to the society.
